While Akshay Kumar plays the role of lawyer Jageshwar Mishra alias Jolly from Jolly LLB 2, Arshad will reprise the role of Jagdish Tyagi.
Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi will be teaming up for Jolly LLB 3 with Subhash Kapoor as the director. The film will be released in 2024 and will hit the big screen in 2025. Subhash Kapoor is all set to start shooting for Jolly LLB in summer 2024 with leads Akshay and Arshad.
“It's basically Jolly vs Jolly, and the entire crew is excited to start shooting this ambitious film for the Jolly LLB franchise. The team is still thinking about having two titles: Jolly LLB 3 or Jolly vs Jolly, and a call will be taken on the same closer to the announcement,” a source revealed. Close to the development, the film is expected to go on floors around May 2024 on a marathon schedule. The film is produced by Disney in association with Cape of Good Films. The Akshay Kumar-owned brand has already produced more than 25 films with more than 15 songs, which is a massive record on the production front.
Like the previous two films in the series, this too is a comedy set against the backdrop of the Indian judiciary. "This time, the showdown is between two jollies played by Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi. “Subhash has come up with a script that utilizes the comedic timing and camaraderie shared between the two and will take the audience on a ride through cinema halls in 2025," the source informed, and was quick to add that the Filmmakers will shoot the film on real locations, as well as next to the sets.
Subhash Kapoor has already begun his preparatory work for the film, which includes the scouting and casting process. "He is planning to shoot a portion of the film in Jaipur and is currently on the verge of wrapping up the sets. Apart from the two leads, Saurabh Shukla will also join the cast in a key role, just like the previous two films. In fact, he will be the permanent face of the franchise throughout the three parts as a judge, who has individually tried both of Jolie's cases in the past.
