'Sultan Of Delhi' director Milan Luthria recently recounted an anecdote from the series' filming with actress Mouni Roy. In fact, the series' entire cast, according to the director, has given him a lot of trouble.
Speaking about the same, he said, "I should be stating that I liked making my OTT debut with this project, but the entire cast has been giving me a lot of trouble for the past two years, and Mouni Roy is the first in that queue. In the morning, Mouni arrived to the set 10 minutes before call time to welcome us all, and we would then meet her in person over lunch. To get ready and travel to the set, it would take her three hours.
The series is produced by Reliance Entertainment, directed by Milan Luthria, and co-written by Suparn Verma. It is based on the book "Sultan of Delhi: Ascension" by Arnab Ray. It recreates the allure of old India and produces an eye-catching visual display.
Along with Nishant Dahiya, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Anjumm Shharma, veteran actor Vinay Pathak, and the women Anupriya Goenka, Harleen Sethi, and Mehreen Pirzada, the series also features Milan Luthria, who makes his OTT debut. The programme will start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on October 13, 2023.
