Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, one of the sweetest couples in the entertainment industry, finally tied the knot on April 14 after dating for five long years. It's a perfect example of a match made in heaven. The couple had an intimate party at actor's Mumbai residence Vastu in the presence of close friends and family. It was a magical three day affair and all the photos from the festivities are amazing and can't be missed. The party started with a dreamy mehndi function, followed by a wedding and then a star-studded wedding. Here is a summary of three days of the fun-filled event:
Day 1: Mehndi
The party started with Alia and Ranbir Mehendi's concert which was held on the 13th of April. It was about love, fun and laughter. The groom surprised his sweetheart with a sudden act and gave a poem to the late Rishi Kapoor. Notably, Ranbir danced for Alia with Neetu Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Ridima Kapoor and Bharat Sahni at the party. For the event, the couple teamed up in trendy pink outfits. Alia's lehenga was by Manish Malhotra, while Ranbir's ethnic wear was by Sabyasachi. The actor also wore his father Rishi Kapoor's watch for the event.
The ceremony was attended by Neetu Kapoor, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Bharat Sahni, Ayan Mukerji, Alia's close friends Anushka Ranjan and Akansha Ranjan, among others.
Alia posted her Mehendi pics on social media and wrote, "Mehendi was like something out of a dream. It was a day full of love, family and our lovely friends, lots of fries, surprise performance by ladkewalas, Ayan DJing, big surprise hosted by Mr. Kapoor (My favorite artist performed my favorite songs), it was all followed by some happy tears and quiet happy times with the love of my life. There are days...and then there are days like these!"

Day 2: the wedding
The next day was D-Day when Alia and Ranbir got married on the 14th of April at the actor's home in Vastu. At their wedding, Alia and Ranbir are twins in beautiful Sabyasachi attire. The bride ditched the traditional lehenga and wore an ivory hand-dyed organza saree. The wedding photos were unmissable and anything related to Alia's simple wedding look became the talk of the town. One of the highlights was the mangalsutra and kaleeras which featured the lucky number 8 for Ranbir, which also means infinity.
While sharing the photos, Alia wrote: "Today, we got married, on our favorite place, the balcony where we spent the last 5 years of our relationship, in our house...at our favorite place. With so much behind us, we can't wait to build more memories together.. Memories full of love, laughter, comforting silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine and Chinese meals. Thank you for all the love and light during this important time in our lives. You made this moment even more special. Love, Ranbir and Alia."

3rd day: Reception
On April 16, the newlyweds host a post-wedding party or reception for their celebrity friends at their home. It was a starry night as most of the listeners indicated their presence at the event. SRK, Karan Johar, Gauri Khan, Ayan Mukerji, Arjun Kapoor, Mallika Arora, Tara Sutaria and others made it to the guest list. She also dazzled her family at the event with ostentatious outfits. The reception was undoubtedly one of the most extravagant celebrations, and Mr and Mrs Kapoor certainly concluded the three days of madness in style.
