Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal tested positive for COVID-19


Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has been admitted to the Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon after his tests came positive for COVID-19 on Monday. He had tweeted yesterday on testing positive and had appealed to all who have come in contact with him to get the testing done or to get quarantine. 


He added “I was tested positive for the Novel CoronaVirus today. My test report has returned positive. I appeal to all the colleagues and associates who came in my contact over the last week to get themselves tested. I request my close contacts to move into strict quarantine immediately,” he tweeted.



Haryana Speaker Gian Chand Gupta also tested positive for the virus yesterday, two days before the state assembly session. Deputy Speaker Ranbir Gangwa will preside over the session.

Few hours before he himself tested positive for the novel CoronaVirus, Mr. Khattar had posted a message for the speaker for his well being and good health. He added, ”Take all precautions and take care. I pray to God for your speedy recovery,” he tweeted in Hindi.

Two more MLAs have been tested positive for the coronavirus, Haryana Minister Anil Vij informed. 

A few days back, it was made mandatory for the speaker and the MLAs of the Haryana state to get a COVID test, those whose tests come out negative can attend the session.
