SOL DU : Admission Form, Results, Admit Card, Date sheet | Full Information

School of Open Learning (SOL):-

The School of Open Learning (SOL) was established as a constituent college of the University of Delhi in 1962 and is a pioneer in the field of distance education in India. It got almost 1.5 lakh students enrolled every year. It is one of the largest educational institutions in India. It provides courses for Undergraduate and postgraduate. The school also has a study center at South Moti Bagh, New Delhi. The school offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in the field of Arts, Humanities, and commerce.

Earlier it was known as the School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education, School of Open Learning, DU which was established in 1962. At present, SOL offers BA, BA(Hons.), B.com(Hons.) at UG level, and M.com, MA under various disciplines at the PG level. The application form can be obtained from the Main center at North Delhi campus or from the South Centre, New Delhi. For UG purses, the application form can be filled online through the official SOL website followed by document verification.

Eligibility and other criteria of sol:

  • The Minimum eligibility criteria for Bachelor courses is 10+2 in the relevant subject with the desired percentage of marks. 
  • Admission to all the UG courses is completely merit-based as per the marks obtained in 10+2 examination. 
  • For the postgraduation, a bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject is mandatory.
  • PG Admissions are offered under two categories, i.e., Entrance and merit-based.
  • For PG courses, almost 50% of the seats are filled through merit and remaining seats are filled based on entrance test, GD, or PI.

Fees Structure of sol:

The fee structure is quite minimal. Bachelor courses may cost around 3,500 and fees can be around up to 10,000. Depends on the course you choose, the fee charge is different. Like, fees of B.com is around Rs. 3,530, and MA costs almost Rs. 4,990. You can also see the detailed fee structure on its official web site. 

Result and Marksheet:

SOL DU has released the examination results for its UG courses which were conducted in the month of May/June. The results have been declared for the following courses:

BA Program part- 1,2,3

B.Com Part- 1,2,3

BA (H) English Part- 1,2,3

BA (H) Political Science Part- 1,2,3

B.Com (H) Part- 1,2,3

It has an option of “Important Links” by selecting the desired result link and typing the SOL roll number, Exam roll no., Year of Exam, and the course you can see the results. You can easily save or download the results.

NOTE- If you wanted your answer sheets to be re-checked you need to apply for the same within three (3) weeks after the result has been declared.
