Lieutenant Colonel MS Dhoni receives Padma Bhushan Award from President of India

MS Dhoni received the honour from President Ram Nath Kovind on the same day when he guided India to its second ICC World Cup triumph exactly seven years ago. 

MS Dhoni added yet another gem to his crown in the wake of being met with the esteemed Padma Bhushan Award at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday. Circumstantially he got the respect from President Ram Nath Kovind around the same time when he guided India to its second ICC World Cup triumph precisely seven years back. Dhoni, who is the best Indian captain, is the only captain to win all the ICC trophies-ICC Cricket World Cup, World Twenty20 and the Champions Trophy. In Test cricket, he helped India accomplish numero uno status in 2009. Dhoni is also the 11th Indian cricketer to receive the Padma Bhushan after CK Nayudu (1956),  MK Vizianagaram (1958), Vinoo Mankad (1973), Sunil Gavaskar (1980), Bhalindra Singh (1983) Prof DB Deodhar, Lala Amarnath, Kapil Dev (1991), Chandu Borde (2002) and Rahul Dravid (2013). Dhoni had earlier won the Padma Shri in 2009.
