Tokyo Olympics: India schedule and results on July 28

Indian badminton champion PV Sindhu defeated Hong Kong's Ngian Yi Cheung 21-9 21-16 in her second group match to enter the women's round of 16 at the Tokyo Olympics. Indian rowers Arjun Lal Ghat and Arvind Singh did not qualify for the men's double light rowboat final after finishing sixth and final in the second semi-final. Arjun and Arvind scored 6: 24.41 to finish last in the six-team semi-finals on the Sea Forest waterway. The Indian women's hockey team suffered their third consecutive defeat when Great Britain won the match 4-1 at the Oi Hockey Stadium - South Pitch.
