Champion Release Date
The approaching Christmas season is poised for a crowded cinematic competition, as numerous Telugu movies prepare to debut. Champion has become one of the most monitored projects among them. Featuring Roshan Meka and Anaswara Rajan, the movie is helmed by Pradeep Advaitham and is set to premiere on December 25.
Is Telugu Movie Champion Based On A True Story?
Champion is an upcoming movie created by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema, featuring Roshan in the main role, aiming to depict genuine emotion, as it draws inspiration from a true and lesser-known real-life event in Bairanpally.
The movie draws inspiration from the assault on Bairanpally village in 1948. Recently, the hero Roshan along with other members of Champion visited the current villagers of Bairanpally. The villagers conveyed their joy that their actual fight is at last being presented to a broader audience. They expressed their desire that this acknowledgment will aid in the growth of their village.
What Exactly Happened In Bairanpally?
Even after India achieved independence, the Hyderabad State remained under Nizam's rule. At this time, the Telangana Armed Struggle commenced in opposition to Nizam’s governance.
To safeguard themselves, the residents of Bairanpally reconstructed the village watchtower (buruju), prepared themselves, and courageously fought against the Razakar assaults.
In a vicious act of retribution, on August 17, 1948, the Razakars and the Nizam’s army assaulted the village. Hundreds of villagers were gathered and executed by gunfire. It is thought that approximately 116 to 118 innocent villagers were killed in this horrific massacre.
Champion is coming out this Friday and is anticipated to be among the top films of the year, both for its compelling content and box office success.

Mickey's contributions to Champion have already created a significant presence online. The track Gira Gira Gingiraagirey, notably, has garnered significant praise on social media and is being continuously played by music enthusiasts. Every released song has quickly resonated with audiences.
Mickey J Meyer is familiar with achievement. He has previously released unforgettable albums and collaborated with major artists like Mahesh Babu.
Another noteworthy feature of Champion’s album is the duration of the songs. While the majority of film songs typically last 3-4 minutes, Champion includes tracks that approach 5 minutes in length. All tracks released, regardless of length, have turned into hits.
With its emotional depth, historical inspiration, and impactful music, Champion stands out as more than a festive release—it’s a film meant to be felt. This one might just stay with audiences long after the credits roll.
