Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam are appearing together for the first time in ‘Haq,’ with the trailer released on Monday in Mumbai. The gripping drama draws inspiration from the pivotal ruling of the Supreme Court regarding Mohd. Case of Ahmed Khan against Shah Bano Begum.
The actor addressed the media during the trailer launch, discussing if it felt like an additional obligation to participate in a film like Haq, given his Muslim identity.
Haq Trailer presents Yami in the role of Shazia Bano, who brings her husband, Abbas, a well-known lawyer, to court after he leaves her and their children to marry another woman. The connection between the two is succinctly illustrated, highlighting how Abbas verbally declares divorce to Shazia while refusing to provide her with any support after giving her a certain sum of money.

Emraan said to the press, “When I look at a script like this, I see it as an actor, and for the first time in this film, I also needed to incorporate the viewpoint of a Muslim.” Returning to the significant case, the nation was split into two sections. What Is The Story Of Haq Movie
The movie draws inspiration from the Supreme Court's 1985 ruling in the Mohd case. Ahmed Khan v. Shah Bano Begum, in which the court determined that a divorced Muslim woman has a right to maintenance according to the law. Ahmed Khan, a well-known attorney, divorced his wife, Shah Bano, after 14 years of marriage, leaving her and their children. This prompted her to submit a petition in court seeking maintenance under section 125 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
