About Kantara Chapter 1
In 2022, Rishabh Shetty placed the Kannada industry at the center of Indian Cinema with his film Kantara. The movie demonstrated that Yash and Prashanth Neel’s KGF, yet another blockbuster from the Kannada film industry, was not a one-time success. Kantara generated approximately Rs 310 crore in India, earning over Rs 80 crore from the Hindi market, despite launching two weeks after the initial Kannada release.

Following the success of the first installment, the craving for more emerged, prompting actor-director Rishabh Shetty to opt for a prequel to the movie. He named the movie Kantara-Chapter 1 and it is set to be released on October 2nd.
The sequel to Kantara will be competing with Karan Johar's supported Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar. It would be fascinating to observe two completely contrasting films succeed at the box office during Dussehra.
Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 Trailer
The team surprised everyone with an extended trailer that is nearly three minutes long. The trailer begins with Shiva's son in the exact location where his father vanished into the woods. The trailer reveals the conflict between good and evil, introducing additional characters from history. The primary focus of the movie revolves around greed.
It also illustrates how a King oppresses the populace and the circumstances that led to their revolt. The trailer showcases a blend of nature, mythology, and divine themes, sharply contrasting with the events that unfolded in Kantara.
The film’s release in various languages has led to a spectacular unveiling of the trailers. The Telugu trailer was revealed by Rebel Star Prabhas, the Hindi edition by Bollywood icon Hrithik Roshan, the Tamil version by Sivakarthikeyan, and the Malayalam dubbed version by Prithviraj Sukumar.

Kantara Chapter 1 Advance Booking
The early ticket sales for the movie commenced in the US, starting strong with over USD 51,000, but in the following three days, it managed to gain only an additional USD 42,500, bringing the total to just over USD 94,000. This may be largely due to the creators not releasing any fresh promotional materials for the film, leaving audiences uncertain about what to anticipate.
However, in just a few hours, the trailer will be released, and if it meets expectations, a significant increase in advance bookings can be anticipated. Kantara became the initial film to generate USD 1 million in the circuit.
The trailer of Kantara Chapter 1 has taken expectations to the next level. Now all eyes are on October 2nd—will it repeat history at the box office?
