Bollywood is gearing up for an exciting double feature for fans this summer! Ajay Devgn’s gripping Raid 2 will hit theaters on May 1st, 2025, and fans will also get to see an exclusive first look at Housefull 5, the next installment of the comedy series (Housefull) starring Akshay Kumar, with a unique 3-minute promotional clip that will be exclusively shown in cinemas with Raid 2 and will not be released online right away. In fact, it will be a surprise exclusive to theatergoers!

Housefull 5 Gets a Big-Screen Launch

The group behind Housefull 5 is pulling out all the stops. Instead of a regular trailer, viewers will get to watch a specially created promotional video that will definitely give the trademark chaos, confusion and comedy that audiences have come to love and expect from this franchise. Importantly, all of this will be released on June 6, 2025 during the Bakri Eid festive long-weekend, which is also clever marketing that will no doubt build anticipation and remind audiences of the franchise (Housefull) fantastic box office success.

The film Housefull 4, released in 2019, utilized reincarnation comedy as the core narrative, with characters moving between two settings, one in the 15th century and the other contemporary. The full cast included Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, and Kriti Kharbanda, providing plenty of nonsensical humor and craziness. With the film Housefull 5, director Tarun Mansukhani takes over, greater confusion, greater star power, and greater hilarity. The duo of Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh will return and be joined by Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Sanjay Dutt, making it one of the largest get-together of star comedies in recent memory.

Raid 2, Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, is a sequel to the widely acclaimed film Raid in 2018, which was inspired by real-life income tax raids. Ajay Devgn played IRS officer Amay Patnaik in that film, leading one of the most significant and intense raids in the history of India. Raid 2 will be more intense and calls for Ajay Devgn to reprise his role as the loyal officer, who will be seen fighting against corruption and illegal money across multiple states. The film stars Vaani Kapoor, and it aims to bring the ideas of patriotism together with suspense, a genre Ajay Devgn loves and has excelled at throughout his career.
