Jewel Thief Teaser: Saif Ali & Jaideep Ahlawat Plan Rs 500 Cr Heist

Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat will appear together on screen for the first time in Netflix’s Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins. The creators revealed the film's teaser on Monday during the Next on Netflix event, where the streaming service announced its roster of projects for 2025.

Managed by Siddharth Anand—recognized for directing action-filled smash hits such as Pathaan, War, and Fighter—this film is set to deliver a thrilling experience brimming with intrigue, tension, and stunning action.

The film features Jaideep Ahlawat in an unprecedented role as the main villain. This is his initial partnership with Saif Ali Khan, though he has formerly acted alongside Saif's wife, Kareena Kapoor, in Netflix's Jaane Jaan. Jaideep is presently enjoying the success of his web series, Paatal Lok Season 2.

The teaser presents Jaideep as a dominant crime boss who recruits a charming and elegant thief, portrayed by Saif, to steal the rarest diamond in the world—the African Red Sun, worth Rs 500 crore. Remaining faithful to his persona, Saif is shown wearing various disguises while he carefully strategizes his upcoming significant robbery.

The teaser additionally provides glimpses of Kunal Kapoor in an important role. Nonetheless, right when the heist appears to be going smoothly, unforeseen events occur. Pandemonium breaks out, and a lethal game of trickery and treachery develops, maintaining the suspense.

Jewel Thief is the first project Saif Ali Khan has announced after the violent assault he encountered at his residence in January. The actor experienced several surgeries following being stabbed five times by an intruder during a reported robbery attempt.

Aside from being an exciting film experience, Jewel Thief also signifies the streaming premiere for both director Siddharth Anand and producer Mamta Anand under their label, Marflix.
