Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein has outpaced John Abraham’s Vedaa in the box office battle, showcasing a strong performance despite a significant drop in numbers. Featuring an ensemble cast including Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal, Khel Khel Mein has become a notable player at the box office. According to Sacnilk.com, on its sixth day, the film garnered an estimated ₹1.2 crore nett in India, surpassing Vedaa, which earned ₹0.8 crore nett on the same day.

The performance of Khel Khel Mein saw a 40% decline from previous figures, accumulating a total of ₹17.25 crore nett in India. Its global total stands at ₹27.70 crore nett. Despite the decline, Khel Khel Mein maintains a lead over Vedaa, which has experienced a 46.67% drop, with a total of ₹16.3 crore nett in India and ₹22.30 crore nett worldwide by day six. The film, directed by Nikhil Advani, opened strongly with ₹6.3 crore, while Khel Khel Mein had a somewhat lower opening of ₹5.05 crore. Now, Khel Khel Mein has emerged ahead in the box office race.

The clash of Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa with Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, on Independence Day 2024, further intensified the competition. Stree 2 has proven to be a formidable competitor, earning ₹25.8 crore on its sixth day and reaching a total of ₹255.35 crore.

Khel Khel Mein is a comedy film directed by Mudassar Aziz, known for his work on Happy Bhag Jayegi and Pati Patni Aur Woh. The film revolves around a dinner party game gone awry, involving seven friends who agree to make their phones public property for the night. This seemingly simple game leads to unexpected and humorous consequences. The film is co-written by Aziz and Sara Bodinar and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.

In contrast, Vedaa is a drama centered on a young girl named Vedaa, portrayed by Sharvari. The film focuses on her fight against oppression and injustice. John Abraham’s character plays a crucial role in helping Vedaa train as a boxer and seek social justice. The film highlights Vedaa’s journey from a state of oppression to empowerment.
