On Tuesday, the official announcement of Yuvraj Singh's biopic was made through the Instagram and X accounts of T-Series Films. The film's tentative title, "Six Sixes," hints at its focus on the cricket legend's extraordinary journey, spanning from his World Cup heroics to his battle against cancer and subsequent recovery.
The biopic is set to highlight Yuvraj's achievements both on and off the cricket field. The announcement tweet stated, "Relive the legend's journey from the pitch to the heart of millions — Yuvraj Singh's story of grit and glory is coming soon on the big screen!"
T-Series head Bhushan Kumar, known for producing successful films like "Animal" and "Kabir Singh," is collaborating with producer Ravi Bhagchandka to bring Yuvraj's story to the big screen. Ravi previously produced the 2017 Sachin Tendulkar documentary, "Sachin: A Billion Dreams."

According to a report by Variety, the film is expected to recreate one of the most iconic moments in Yuvraj's illustrious career: his historic feat of hitting six sixes in a single over against England's Stuart Broad during the 2007 T20 World Cup. The biopic is also likely to showcase Yuvraj's significant contributions to India's victory in the 2011 World Cup, where he was named the Player of the Series.
In 2011, Yuvraj was diagnosed with cancer, a life-changing event that the film is set to explore in depth. His courageous battle against the disease and his triumphant return to international cricket in 2012 will be key highlights of the narrative. Yuvraj eventually announced his retirement from international cricket in 2019, marking the end of an era for one of India's most beloved sports icons.
Expressing his feelings about the biopic, Yuvraj was quoted by Variety saying, "I am deeply honored that my story will be showcased to millions of my fans across the globe by Bhushan-ji and Ravi. Cricket has been my greatest love and source of strength through all the highs and lows. I hope this film inspires others to overcome their own challenges and pursue their dreams with unwavering passion.”
Bhushan Kumar of T-Series added, "Yuvraj Singh’s life is a compelling narrative of resilience, triumph, and passion. His journey from a promising cricketer to a cricketing hero, and then to a hero in real life, is truly inspiring. I am thrilled to bring a story that needs to be told and heard through the big screen and to celebrate his extraordinary achievements.”
