You can watch the announcement video on Instagram. The film is a joint production by Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures. The teaser suggests that "Dhadak 2" is a love story that challenges social norms, depicting the reality of a society divided by caste and class. The teaser hints that it may be a sad story. In the beginning, it is written in blood, 'There was one king, one was queen, the caste was different'. Siddhant says in a voiceover, "Jo sapna tum dekh rahi ho Vidhi usme mere liye koi jagah nahi hai (The dream that you have Vidhi, there is no place for me in it)." Triptii replies, “Toh phir yeh bhi bata do Neelesh ki in feelings ka kya karun (Then let me know Neelesh, what should I do with my feelings)?”

For those who don’t know, Dhadak was released in 2016, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishan Khattar. It was the Hindi remake of the Marathi film "Sairat" and marked Janhvi Kapoor's Bollywood debut. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, known for "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania", "Dhadak" was a commercial success, grossing over ₹110.11 crore worldwide.
