Actor Sathyaraj recently confirmed that he will star in Rajinikanth's upcoming film Coolie. The actor confirmed this at a recent promotional event where he was also asked about his involvement in Salman Khan's upcoming film Sikander.
“Since corporates came into (producing films), nothing can be confirmed by us. It is part of the contract. So, only they have to confirm any news. But I think the news that I am part of Rajinikanth sir’s film is already out. I am doing the film,” he said. When asked about film with Salman Khan, the actor said he could not comment on it. However, he did not deny that he is a part of the film.
When asked about his involvement in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi biopic, he said, “That’s not true. I might perhaps do it if my late friend Manivanna Anna was around, who could make a realistic biopic about the reality. Or if directors like Pa Ranjith or Mari Selvaraj direct the film, I might act. They will show the truth.”
"Coolie" marks the reunion of Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj after 38 years, with their last collaboration being in the 1986 film "Mr Bharath."
