Pushpa 2:
The Act is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language action film directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings. The film stars Allu Arjun in the lead role, with Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna also reprising their roles. It is the second part of Pushpa film series and the sequel to The Rise.
Initially, 10% of the principal photography coincided with the original film's production. However, Sukumar opted for a storyline alteration, prompting the commencement of principal photography in October 2022. With a staggering budget of ₹500 crore, this film ranks among the most costly Indian productions ever.
It's planned to hit the screens on August 15, 2024, marking a significant tribute to India's Independence Day.

Development
Prior to the release of Pushpa: The Rise in 2021, the film was announced to be a two-part series. The makers revealed that the first installment would hit screens that year, while the second part would follow in 2022. Originally, only 10% of the sequel was filmed alongside the original, but director Sukumar opted to tweak the storyline to address audience expectations and rectify any prior missteps. The official title, Pushpa 2: The Rule, was unveiled on August 22, 2022, alongside an inaugural muhurat puja ceremony held in Hyderabad, attended by the film's cast and crew.
Filming
Principal photography kicked off with a trial shoot conducted on October 30, 2022, in the vibrant city of Hyderabad.
Release
The film is scheduled to release in theaters in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages on 15 August 2024, coinciding with Indian Independence Day.
