- Hrithik Roshan was born at Elizabeth Nursing Home in Malabar Hill, Mumbai.
- While there was an initial discussion with doctors about surgically removing Hrithik's extra thumb from his right hand, Rakesh Roshan and Pinky Roshan decided to keep it as a child with two thumbs which is rare and considered very lucky.
- According to his mother, Hrithik never felt shy when it came to dancing and acting: he would start at anyone's house and all he needed was a mirror to see everything. He grew up closely watching and recreating the footsteps of Michael Jackson and Rajesh Khanna.
- Hrithik Roshan was a mischievous child. He would often hide under the bed and play alone with his little cars for hours at a time. Often his parents were worried when they did not find him at home.
