Pritam and Pedro is a 6-episode comedy thriller series which was released on 3 July 2026 on JioHotstar. The show is created under Rajkumar Hirani's banner, making it a family venture in every way, although the senior Hirani is said to have insisted that Vir undergo proper auditions instead of receiving the role directly.
Vir Hirani’s Role In Pritam and Pedro
In Pritam And Pedro, Vir portrays Pritam. He goes with his grandfather to a nearby police station to report a lost tape recorder. He winds up in jail for arguing with the police.
Nonetheless, his cleverness and precise hacking abilities assist Inspector Pedro in cracking a significant theft case. Pritam helps Pedro when the officer is moved to the cybercrime division. They work together to crack difficult cases.

Actor Vir Hirani Upcoming Movie
Pritam and Pedro is just the start. Vir is gearing up for his cinematic debut in a reportedly named film Lagan Lagi Re, a youthful romance where he will perform alongside Rasha Thadani, the daughter of actress Raveena Tandon and a fresh face after her debut in Azaad in 2025.
The movie is created by Jay Shewakramani. The filming is anticipated to begin this month. The collaboration of two notable newcomers from film families in a romantic drama is sure to attract interest, but Vir's decision to launch on OTT prior to his theatrical release indicates a recognition of the need to establish credibility before seeking broader fame.
