On 1 June 2026, the makers released the Raakh Trailer on social media. This investigative crime thriller series stars Ali Fazal, Sonali Bendre, and Aamir Bashir in the lead roles. 

Taking place in Delhi during the late 1970s, the imaginary series focuses on the inquiry into a disturbing crime related to abducted children. The trailer centers on Sub-Inspector Jayprakash, portrayed by Ali Fazal, as he heads the investigation into the culprits while managing the emotional impact the case has on the families of the victims.

The Latest Web Series In June 2026, Raakh draws inspiration from the notorious Ranga-Billa case, where two individuals, Kuljeet also known as Ranga Khush and Jasbir Singh also referred to as Bengali and Billa, were apprehended and eventually executed for the rape and murder of two teenagers in Delhi. Before Rakh, Netflix's Black Warrant allocated a full episode to the Ranga-Billa case.

Discussing the series, Fazal remarked, “When I was initially contacted for Raakh, I anticipated a typical investigative crime thriller; however, as soon as I read the script, I was captivated.” Anusha, Sandeep, and Prosit have crafted a narrative that is intricate, deeply emotional, and filled with raw authenticity.

Sonali stated, “The series allowed me to delve into emotional realms I hadn't accessed previously as an actor. Mona is a character who embodies both fragility and understated power, and bringing her to life was truly fulfilling. If we talk about theatrical release, there are several movies releasing on 12 June such as ‘Governor’ starring Manoj Bajpayee, ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ stars Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari Wagh, ‘Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past’ stars Chetna Pande and Mimoh Chakraborty.
