In 1994, Adarsh Gourav Bhagavatula was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand (then Bihar). He works in the Bollywood and Hollywood industries as an actor, singer, and songwriter. He was raised in Mumbai, earned a bachelor's degree from Narsee Monjee, and graduated from Mumbai's Drama School. After Gourav's father, who was employed by the Central Bank of India, was transferred, the family decided to relocate to Mumbai in 2007.

He went to Lilavatibai's Podar High School. After getting recognized while singing at the 2007 Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, he was asked whether he wanted to pursue acting. He only agreed because he was excited to appear on television.
