“What’s up, dude?”—this Diwali, that’s exactly what Tamil cinema fans will be shouting as Pradeep Ranganathan gears up to deliver a knockout punch with his rugged new avatar in Dude!

The first look of the film has just dropped, and trust us—it’s not your regular boy-next-door transformation. Bruised face, fierce eyes, and that yellow sacred thread around his hands? Pradeep means serious business.

The film, previously known as PR 04, is now officially titled Dude, and it’s all set to bring the fireworks this festive season. Directed by Keerthiswaran, who’s worked under Sudha Kongara, and backed by the powerhouse Mythri Movie Makers, Dude is already turning heads.

And guess what? Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical rights—so even if you miss it in theatres (which you shouldn’t!), your binge-mode is sorted.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s Movie Dude Announcement

Mythri Movie Makers revealed the title of actor Pradeep Ranganathan's next film Dude on Saturday (10 May). Entitled Dude, the movie was initially referred to as PR 04. The production company released the initial glimpse of the actor from the movie and revealed its release date.

In the initial image, Pradeep displayed a rugged appearance with bruises on his face. Wearing an unbuttoned shirt, he struck a pose with a yellow sacred thread wrapped around his hands while delivering a punch towards the camera, alluding to his role in the movie.

Dude Release Date

Pradeep Ranganathan’s next film, Dude, will be released in cinemas on Diwali this year, as announced by the production company Mythri Movie Makers on Saturday, along with a fresh poster for the movie.

Cast & Crew

The film, which was directed by Keerthiswaran, a former Sudha Kongara assistant, also features important performances from R. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, and Dravid Selvam. The soundtrack is created by Sai Abhyankkar, recognized for his lively and contemporary compositions.

Netflix has acquired the digital rights for post-theatrical releases, ensuring a broad streaming launch following its time in theaters.

With a Diwali release and a powerful first look, Dude promises action, attitude, and entertainment. Pradeep is clearly here to surprise us all with his powerful performance.
