Tamil Movie Kingston Story
Kingston takes place in the seaside village of Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu. A string of fatalities plunges the village into sorrow and dread. The villagers believe that Stephen Bose (Alagan Perumal) is responsible for the deaths, so they end up killing him. The villagers additionally believe that his spirit is exacting vengeance on them.
His lifeless body is thrown into the ocean. The villagers did not fish in the sea for 43 years. All these tasks are handled by Solomon (Chetan), while Martin is the leader of the village. King (GV Prakash Kumar) is Martin's most reliable associate, and he is obsessed with wealth. Following an unforeseen event, King prepares to confront Solomon, while the rest of Kingston focuses on the ensuing developments.
Kingston Movie Review
Kingston features a collection of narratives centered around ocean fishing, smuggling, zombie themes, and the riches found in the sea. The movie features a romantic tale intertwined with a revenge plot. The movie begins in an intriguing manner, prompting the viewers to eagerly anticipate what will unfold next in the village. The episodes of King do not captivate the viewers but they present the character development of the main actor. King alters his approach abruptly, which is not acceptable. Solomon's character is not portrayed in a strong and compelling manner.

The movie becomes engaging when the villagers go into the sea to fish. The trailer showed that the movie features zombies and their arrival takes more time. However, the episodes of Zombies are not noteworthy. The whole second half of Kingston is awkward and full of confusion. This is due to the various layers and genres present. While Kingston features intriguing twists, they are not presented effectively. Kingston brings to mind NTR’s Devara, yet the movie features a horror setting. Although Kingston has a solid idea and storyline, it is not delivered in an interesting way.
Performance
GV Prakash Kumar is recognized for choosing distinctive scripts. Kingston is also a great choice. He also diligently strived for excellence in the role of King. Divya Bharathi’s character feels incomplete and comes across as coerced. The remaining faces are Tamil performers in Kingston. They have fulfilled their duties appropriately in Kingston.
GV Prakash is a well-known music composer who goes the extra mile for his films. However, the music in Kingston lacks appeal. Not all the songs will resonate with the audience. The background music captivates the viewers. The episodes filmed at sea are well showcased.
The movie possesses quality relative to its production budget. Kingston is a technically sound film. The dubbing quality for the Telugu version was really subpar. The director selected an unusual script, but he struggled with the execution due to the numerous plots and genres.
New Malayalam Movie Kingston Cast
Kingston represents the 25th film of G.V. Prakash, an action-adventure fantasy flick penned and helmed by Kamal Prakash. The movie brings back the Bachelor pair, featuring Divya Barathi in the leading female role. The ensemble features skilled performers like Kumaravel, Sabumon Abdusamad, Chetan, Antony, along with numerous others.
Kingston has an intriguing premise with a mix of horror, revenge, and supernatural elements, but its execution falters with confusing storytelling. If you enjoy eerie village mysteries and are a fan of G.V. Prakash Kumar, this film might still be worth a watch!
