As of Saturday evening, following 10 days in cinemas, Pushpa 2 has grossed Rs 1196 crore globally. The movie made Rs 86 crore on Saturday, compared to Rs 51 crore on Friday. The 70% increase follows the arrest of the main actor, Allu Arjun, by Hyderabad Police a day earlier regarding the death of a fan during the film's premiere.
The Saturday collection allowed Pushpa 2 to exceed Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan at the box office and draw nearer to Yash's KGF: Chapter 2, which remains high at Rs 1208 crore. Pushpa 2 is expected to surpass KGF 2 on Sunday and then aim for another hit, SS Rajamouli's RRR ( Rs 1309 crore).
It is stated that on its 10th day, Pushpa 2 generated a net of Rs 63.30 crore in India. This brought its domestic net collection to an impressive Rs 826 crore net (Rs986 crore gross). The movie has additionally generated Rs 210 crore in gross earnings abroad.
