The teaser, filled with suspense and dramatic lighting, introduces a new group of faceless players dressed in the iconic green tracksuits. The tension builds as the sequence highlights Gi-hun’s return, marked by his distinctive #456 patch.

Set three years after Gi-hun's traumatic victory, the new season follows his decision to abandon plans to move to the United States. Instead, he returns with renewed determination, as reported by Deadline.

Lee Jung-jae made history with the first season, becoming the first Asian actor to win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, an accolade he received for his role in a non-English show.

"Squid Game" has already cemented its place in Netflix's history as the most-watched series on the platform, racking up an astonishing 1.65 billion views within the first 28 days of its 2021 debut, according to Deadline.

Netflix has confirmed that season 2 of "Squid Game" will premiere on December 26, 2024. The streaming giant also announced that the third and final season is set to release in 2025.
