Netflix Unveils 'Rakt Bramhand': Epic Fantasy Action Series

On Saturday, Netflix unveiled a new fantasy action series called “Rakt Bramhand - The Bloody Kingdom,” directed by the acclaimed filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The series will be produced by Raj & DK under their banner D2R Films and directed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for his work on “Tumbbad.”

The series is written by Raj & DK, Barve, and Sita R Menon, who have previously worked together on projects such as “Shor in the City,” “Go Goa Gone,” and the series “Farzi” and “Guns & Gulaabs.” “Guns & Gulaabs” marked Raj & DK's debut collaboration with Netflix, which premiered in August 2023.

Netflix describes “Rakt Bramhand - The Bloody Kingdom” as delivering a "captivating, intense narrative" set in a fantastical realm, showcasing thrilling action and impressive visuals.

Raj & DK expressed their excitement about exploring this new genre, emphasizing their aim to tell unique stories rooted in fantasy. They are particularly thrilled about developing a fictional world that feels both original and reminiscent of the fantastical tales from their childhood.

The filmmakers highlighted the collaborative process, praising the talents of Rahi and their versatile partner Sita in bringing this unique vision to life.
