Actor Sonu Sood, who reached the peak of popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic to take a step forward by organizing free flights, luxury trains, and buses to allow migrants stranded in Maharashtra and other parts of India to reach their homes, has spoiled the controversy over its tiff name with the Income Tax Department. The I-T division has accused the Bollywood actor of financial irregularities of more than 250 million rupees. The Income Tax Department has charged Bollywood actor Sonu Sood with financial irregularities of more than 250 crore rupees through unused charity funds, bogus contracts, circular transactions with one of its partner companies, and diversion of funds to evade taxes, authorities said.
