Sonu Sood broke the silence on the I-T raid controversy: you don't always have to tell the story by your side

Actor Sonu Sood, who reached the peak of popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic to take a step forward by organizing free flights, luxury trains, and buses to allow migrants stranded in Maharashtra and other parts of India to reach their homes, has spoiled the controversy over its tiff name with the Income Tax Department. The I-T division has accused the Bollywood actor of financial irregularities of more than 250 million rupees. While the actor remained silent when I-T officials raided his property, he took to Twitter on Monday to share his statement. Without mentioning anything about the raids or the alleged tax evasion, the actor assured that every rupee in his institution awaits his turn to save a precious life and reach those in need.

Furthermore, the actor claimed in the comment to his Instagram post that he is a law-abiding citizen and will continue to do so. He also thanked everyone for his love and support.

The Income Tax Department has charged Bollywood actor Sonu Sood with financial irregularities of more than 250 crore rupees through unused charity funds, bogus contracts, circular transactions with one of its partner companies, and diversion of funds to evade taxes, authorities said.
