Upcoming Bollywood movies 2020

As the new year begins, we all are excited to see something new in Bollywood. The entertainment should go on. Bollywood has always offered a cluster of entertaining, sensational, thriller. oh long list to go with the varieties. Again 2020 is going to be rocking for the audiences as there are so many upcoming Bollywood movies are in queue with loads of romantic songs, remixes of the old ones and even sad songs too. Here we go with the list of upcoming Bollywood movies in 2020 and of courses so many new debut male and female actors are waiting to hit silver screen of Indian cinema this year.


As we proceeded to the month of March 2020, lots of movies are already out so here is the first movie which will hit the screen on 13th March, starring Jhanvi Kapoor titled “Gunjan Saxena, the Kargil girl”. It is based on true story. The another much awaited movie of Irfan Khan’s, “Angrezi medium” will be released on 20th March 2020. It will make Irfan Khan’s retry  to the big screen and he will share the screen with Kareena Kapoor khan. This march the audiences will watch the Rohit Shetty’s action movie “Sooryvanshi” starring Akshay kumar as main lead along with ranveer singh and ajay devgun. It will be released on 27th March 2020.

On 10th April 2020, the another most awaited movie on Kapil Dev’s life “83” will be released, starring Ranbir Singh and Deepika Padukone as the main lead. On the same date another movie “Lootcase” will be released directed by Rajesh Krishnan, starring Kunal Khemu as main lead. The same date is also for “RoohiAfza” release starring Rajkumar Rao and Jhanvi Kapoor, directed by Hardik Mehta.

Amitab Bachchan and Ayushman Khurana will share the screen together for the first time in Shoojit Sircar directed movie “GulaboSitabo” which will be released on 17th April 2020.

The legendary Amitabh Bachchan will be again seen in a thriller movie by Rumy Jafry “Chehre” releasing on 24 April 2020. His co-star in this movie is Emran Hashmi.

 The labour day of 2020 (1st May) will see “Coolie No 1” re-directed by David Dhawan starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, they will share the screen together for the first time in this comedy movie.

In May 2020 the much awaited ambitious project directed by Ayan Mukherji “Brahmastra” may be released. The stars are Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt with Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy
Sushant Singh Rajput along with Saif Ali Khan and Sanjana Sanghi will hit the Bollywood screen on 8th May 2020 in “Dil Bechara”. Parineeti Chopra will be seen in the movie “Girl in the Train”. It is the remake of the 2016 American film of the same name, which in turn was based on author ‘Paula Hawkins’ novel.
On 8th May 2020, the biopic based on the life of mathematician “Shakuntala” Devi with Vidya Balan playing the titular role, directed by Anu Menon will be released.

Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani will be seen together in movie “Lakshmi Bomb”, it will be releasing on 22 May 2020. It is horror-comedy movie.

A Prabhu Deva directed movie “Radhe” will hit the screen on 22 May 2020. The lead actors of the movie are Salmaan Khan, Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff.


“Indoo Ki Jawani” will be released on 5TH June 2020, is a coming of age comedy that revolves around a girl named “Indoo” (Kiara Advani) and her misadventures on a dating app.

“Nikamma” a romantic comedy starring Shilpa Shetty, Abhimanyu Dassani And Shirley Shetia leading roles will be released on 5th June 2020. This movie will  marks the Bollywood debut of internet sensation Shirley Setia.

“Kahli Peeli” Produced by Ali Abbas Zaffar, Khaali Peeli brings back Bollywood’s new kids Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday together for the first time. It will be released on 12th June 2020

“Mumbai Saga” directed by Sanjay Gupta is a multi-starred movie which will be releasing on 19th June.

“Thalavi” directed by A.l Vijay will eb released on 19th June 2020.  The story is about the life of J. Jayalalithaa, Lt. politician and film actress who served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Mahesh Bhatt directed “Sadak 2” will be released on 10th July 2020. The main leads of this movie are Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt too.


“Shamshera” directed by Karan Malhotra will be released on 31st July 2020.  Ranbir Kapoor plays a double role in the film - the titular character of Shamshera and his father. Vaani Kapoor essays the role of a dancer in the film.


“Bhool bhulaya 2” starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani will also be released on 31st July 2020. Along with a change in the director, the film also gets a fresh cast in Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani but the theme remains the same.


Bhuj: The Pride of India” is based on IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik (Ajay Devgn) and his teams heroic efforts of reconstructing the runway at the IAF airbase with the help of 300 local women. It will be releasing on 14th Aug 2020.

John Abraham will be returning to the big screen on Independence Day with “Attack”. Directed  by Lakshya Raj Anand will be releasing on 14th August 2020

Shaid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur will be seen in a Telgu remake “Jersey”. It will be releasing on 28 Aug 2020. The film follows the life of a cricketer who stopped playing the game 10 years ago but now gets back on the pitch with a special motive.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to collaborate with Alia Bhatt in “Gangubai Kathiawadi”, it will be releasing on 11 Sep 2020.

Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey will be seen together in “Hassen Dilruba” Directed by Vinil Mathew, releasing on 18th Sep 2020.

Vicky Kaushal will be seen in  biopic based on the life of the revolutionary freedom fighter “Sardar Udham Singh. Directed by Shoojit Sircar will be releasing on 2 Oct 2020.


Satyameva Jayate 2 is the sequel to 2018 hit Satyameva Jayate. In the last film, we saw John Abraham and Manoj Bajapayee go head to head with each other. Directed by Milap Zaveri will be released on 2nd Oct 2020.

Farhan Akhtar, Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal and Rishi Kapoor starrer “Toofan” will hit the screen on 2nd October 2020.

Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar will be seen together for the first time in “Prithviraj”. It is a periodical drama directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra which will be releasing on 13 Nov 2020.

After collaborating on the hit Dulhaniya series, Varun Dhawan and Shashank Khaitan have joined hands once again for another project “Rannbhoomi”. It will be releasing on 13 Nov 2020.

Ajay Devgn, Keerthy Suresh, Gajraj Rao and Nitanshi Goel starrer “Maidan” directed by Amit Ravnedranath Sharma will be releasing on 27 Nov 2020.  It is based on the coach Syed Abdul Rahim, the man who lead India’s title winning runs at the Asian games in 1951 and 1962. Ajay Devgun plays the role of the coach who took Indian football to new heights and managed to win accolades for the country. 

“Laal Singh Chaddha” is a remake of the Forrest Gump which starred Tom Hanks. The film brings back the pairing of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan after Rajkummar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. It will be releasing on 25 Dec 2020.
