Following a wait of two years, Ranveer Singh, marking 15 years in the film industry this December, has made a spectacular return to the big screen in Aditya Dhar’s spy-action film Dhurandhar.

The trailer and promotional content for the film have already sparked social media, creating significant excitement among fans. Featuring a diverse cast that comprises Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, R. Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar Budget

Dhurandhar, inspired by real-life incidents, is said to have been produced with a budget of Rs 280 crore. Given the substantial budget, the stakes are significantly greater; nonetheless, the film's advance bookings, which started on Sunday (November 30), do not indicate the excitement of moviegoers regarding pre-booking figures.

As per trade tracker Sacnilk, the movie has generated ticket sales of Rs 2.59 crore in India by Thursday morning. With block booking numbers included, it has succeeded in selling tickets worth Rs 4.24 crore. The movie features 3,937 screenings in Hindi (2D). It has 79 shows in Hindi IMAX 2D.

1. Ranveer Singh: Ranveer portrays a lethal Indian intelligence operative, feared by enemies and known only by the chilling codename, "The Wrath Of God." According to News18, the actor's salary for the movie was between Rs 30-50 crore.

2. R Madhavan: R Madhavan takes on the character of Ajay Sanyal, a clever intelligence strategist whose qualities remind one of India's National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. He is said to have earned Rs 9 crore for this role.

3. Akshaye Khanna: Akshaye Khanna stars in ‘Dhurandhar’ as Rehman Dakait, a criminal mastermind and politician in Pakistan with unsettling resemblances to a famous gangster. For this part, Akshaye is said to have charged close to Rs 2.5 crore.

4. Sanjay Dutt: Sanjay Dutt portrays Pakistan's formidable police officer, SP Chaudhary Aslam. He ranks as the second highest-paid actor in the movie following Ranveer, earning nearly Rs 10 crore for his significant role in the film, it was reported.

5. Arjun Rampal: Arjun Rampal portrays Major Iqbal, an ISI agent in ‘Dhurandhar,’ a character thought to be inspired by Ilyas Kashmiri, a notorious Pakistani insurgent associated with terror incidents, including the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. He presents a terrifying and menacing portrayal as a detached, strategic villain, receiving Rs 1 crore for his character.

6. Sara Arjun: Sara Arjun, the leading actress in the movie ‘Dhurandhar’, is said to have demanded Rs 1 crore for her performance. This represents a significant milestone in her career as she moves from being a well-compensated child actress to a prominent role in a major Bollywood production.

Day 1 Box Office Nett Collection

As per Sacnilk, Dhurandhar, one of the movies releasing this week, recorded a total advance booking of 9.23 crore gross (not including blocked seats) for its first day. Aditya Dhar’s direction saw an incredible 301% increase in the last 48 hours. Ticket sales reached an impressive 2.62 lakhs nationwide, encompassing both IMAX and 2D formats.

In spite of the controversies, Dhurandhar experienced a significant boost in ticket sales during the last two days leading up to the major release. Ranveer Singh's film has achieved the 5th highest advance ticket sales of 2025 in Bollywood. It surpassed major films such as Housefull 5 (8.02 crores) and Raid 2 (6.52 crores) by a significant amount. The action thriller fell short of surpassing Saiyaara (9.40 crores) by a narrow margin.
