Rani Mukerjee Chopra: Bollywood’s True Queen

With her soul searching eyes and natural flare for acting, Rani Mukherjee has been a prominent actress in Bollywood. Rani is one of few actresses who got the chance to work with all the Khans. Known for her selective roles, Rani caught audience attention ever since her debut movie ‘Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat’. Ever since, there was no looking back for this demure Bengali beauty.

When at the peak of her acting career, Rani left everything to settle down in marital life with head honcho Yash Raj Films, Aditya Chopra. This soon followed by birth of her adorable daughter Adira.

With Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Black’, Rani proved that she is actress par excellence. No other actress could have portrayed deaf, blind and mute Michelle, the way Rani did. Rani won Filmfare Best Actress as well as Critics Award for her role.

Bunty Aur Bubli (2005)

People got to see Rani’s fun side in Shaad Ali’s drama ‘Bunty Aur Bubli’. Rani complimented Abhishek’s ‘Bunty’ splendidly. The pair was fabulous on-screen. Rani’s comic timing was one of the highlight of the movie.

Yuva (2004)

Mani Ratnam’s ‘Yuva’ won Rani ‘Filmfare Best Supporting Actress’ for portrayal of simple, fiery ‘Shashi’. Rani looked stunning in de-glam avatar of a Bengali housewife. Under the brilliant direction of Mani Ratnam, Rani’s acting prowess once again came on the forefront in the multi-starrer movie.

Saathiya (2002)

Rani’s role ‘Suhaani’, a career woman juggles between work and marital challenges. Rani showcased her character’s challenges superbly. Her interactions with Vivek Oberoi were spectacular. Rani made her place among well-known actresses with ‘Saathiya’.
