Zayn Malik Announces Updated U.S. Tour Dates After Liam Payne’s Passing!

Zayn Malik is prepared to go back on tour following Liam Payne's departure from One Direction on October 16, but it won't happen right away. One week following the unfortunate event involving the 1D fanbase, the musician shared the revised tour schedule on Instagram for his upcoming concerts, which were initially scheduled for October to November 2024 to promote his latest solo album, Room Under the Stairs.

Malik's upcoming shows are set for January 21 in Washington, D.C., January 24-25 in New York, January 28-29 in Los Angeles, February 1 in Las Vegas, and February 3 in San Francisco. Contrary to his previous tour itinerary, Zayn's updated concert schedule excludes U.K. dates. Fans in the singer's native country are eagerly awaiting the news of additional tour dates after his shows in the United States.

After Payne passed away at the age of 31 last Wednesday, Zayn took to Instagram on Saturday to inform his fans about the changes to his tour dates. He stated that because of the tragic event this week, he has chosen to postpone the American leg of the Stairway to Sky Tour. He paid tribute to his former bandmate in a heartfelt message, expressing, "Liam, I find myself talking to you as though you're able to hear me." I can't shake the selfish feeling that there were many more discussions we could have had in our lifetime. He showed appreciation to his deceased friend for helping him during some of the "hardest times" he faced. Looking back on their time as teenage pop stars, the singer of Pillowtalk recalled how when he felt homesick at 17, Payne would consistently offer his support with a comforting smile, assuring him of his love.

Zayn stated that he felt like he lost a brother when you departed, and he longs for the chance to embrace you again, bid a proper farewell, and convey how much he cherished you. The singer expressed that he will cherish all the memories he shared with Payne and hoped that the late musician finds peace in his new place. Based on the initial autopsy findings, Payne's passing was determined to be caused by a combination of severe injuries and bleeding, both internally and externally, due to his plunge from the third-floor hotel balcony.

A toxicology report found multiple drugs in his system including cocaine, crack, and a substance called pink cocaine made up of ketamine, methamphetamine, MDMA, opioids, and other psychoactive drugs.Payne's mother and father are Geoff and Karen Payne, he has two sisters, Ruth and Nicola, who are older than him, and a son, Bear, who is seven years old. Bear's mom is Cheryl Cole, who is Payne's former girlfriend.
