Shah Rukh Khan experienced a health setback on May 21 in Ahmedabad, suffering from a heat stroke while attending an IPL match featuring his team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The actor was hospitalized and discharged the next day. However, according to reports, he now requires further medical attention for his eyes.
The report suggests that Shah Rukh Khan will be flying to the United States for eye treatment by Tuesday, July 30. A source disclosed that SRK had visited a hospital in Mumbai on Monday, July 29, for an eye procedure, which unfortunately did not go as planned. As a result, he is being rushed to the US to rectify the issue. The source did not provide specific details about the initial treatment or the nature of the complications.
Earlier this year, during the IPL season, Shah Rukh Khan, who is the co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, was in Ahmedabad to support his team at the Narendra Modi Stadium. KKR had a remarkable season, advancing to their fourth IPL final with a commanding eight-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 1 and ultimately winning the IPL title. However, the celebrations were cut short when Shah Rukh was admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad due to severe dehydration.
Juhi Chawla, Shah Rukh’s longtime co-star and fellow KKR co-owner, along with her husband Jay Mehta and Shah Rukh’s wife, Gauri Khan, visited him in the hospital. Juhi later provided a health update, reassuring fans that Shah Rukh was on the mend. In a May interview with News18, she stated, “Shah Rukh was not feeling too well last night but he is being attended to and was feeling much better this evening. God willing, he will soon be up, and in the stands on the weekend, cheering the team, as we play the finals.”
Despite these health challenges, Shah Rukh Khan remains active in his professional life. He was last seen in the film "Dunki" (2023) and is reportedly working on Sujoy Ghosh's upcoming project, "King." Fans and the film industry alike are hopeful for his swift recovery and return to good health.
