Following the success of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Vicky Kaushal is set to appear in another family drama. In the Yash Raj Productions film The Great Indian Family, Manushi Chillar co-stars with Vicky in the lead role. The film's debut is scheduled for September 22. Vijay Krishna Acharya is directing it.
"The Great Indian Family is a family entertainment that aims to create a unique experience for the entire community. The movie TGIF is about the unique, unbreakable tie that Indian family members share with one another. I can't wait to watch how people respond to our caravan. I hope they enjoy it, see the whole thing, and talk to each other about the movie's message," he remarked.
The family drama, which is filmed in rural India, is focused on the chaos that Vicky's character's family goes through as a result of unforeseeable events that are out of their control.
Vicky is seen introducing his character, Bhajan Kumar, along with his family, who do pooja and katha, at the beginning of the trailer. They are Brahmins and are well-respected in society.
The Great Indian Family features a stellar cast that includes Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Sadiya Siddiqui, Alka Amin, Srishti Dixit, Bhuvan Arora, Ashutosh Ujjwal, and Bharti Perwani.
