The film features a mysterious female figure, 'Chandra', who discovers her extraordinary powers while battling a dangerous organ trafficking ring.

As she delves deeper into her past, it turns out her story isn't just about a superhero, but about the struggle for identity, power, and justice. Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is a great start to a universe where the visuals, thrills and surprising twists and turns keep you hooked till the end. 2. Mirai

Mirai is a Telugu-language Indian film, which was released on 12 September 2025. The film stars Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj in lead roles and it’s originally made in Telugu and later released in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The story follows the journey of a young man, Ved, who discovers that he is the protector of nine sacred texts that hold immortal power.

Because these texts are being seized by a dangerous organization called "Black Sword," the film follows Ved as he struggles to discover his true identity and save the world. This movie was put forward that it could be worthy of being in the list of best movies streaming on Disney+, especially because of the visuals and theme. 

3. Mere Husband Ki Biwi

Mere Husband Ki Biwi – a Hindi-language Bollywood film that was released on February 21, 2025. The film stars Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. The story revolves around Ankur Chaddha, a real estate businessman from Delhi-NCR, who wants to start a new life after divorce but his ex-wife suddenly returns and challenges his memories.

As Ankur enters a new relationship with his college sweetheart Antara, his ex-wife resurfaces in his life—leading to a love triangle. This is a film I've included in my list of best movies streaming on Disney+ because it's light-hearted entertainment while also touching on the struggles of modern relationships. 

4. Kesari Chapter 2

Kesari Chapter 2 is an action-packed Hindi Bollywood film, released on May 10, 2025. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles. The story continues from the first part, where Havildar Ishar Singh's son, after his sacrifice, takes over his legacy. The film shows how he attempts to emulate his father's valor and patriotism, but this time the enemy is even more powerful and cunning.

This combination of war, emotion, and sacrifice keeps the audience captivated. This movie is a great mix of patriotism and action, and that's why I've included it in my list of best movies streaming on Disney+. 

5. Sarzameen

Sarzameen is an emotional and action-packed Bollywood film starring Kajol, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan in lead roles. The film was released on 15 August 2025 and also marks the debut of Ibrahim Ali Khan. The story revolves around a raw agent and his mission, depicting a strong mix of patriotism, sacrifice and family emotions. Kajol plays a powerful government official, while Ibrahim plays a young intelligence officer who risks everything for his country.

7. The Storyteller

The Storyteller is a Bollywood drama film released on January 5, 2025. The film stars Paresh Rawal, Adil Hussain, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and Revathi in lead roles. The story revolves around Tarini Ranjan Bandopadhyay, a retired banker who lives with guilt due to a mistake in his life. One day he visits his old client Raja, who is bored with his life and asks him to tell him a story – but one that will change the meaning of his life.

This is where the film's twists begin, as fiction and reality begin to intertwine, and both characters confront their own truths. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, this thought-provoking film is considered one of the best movies streaming on Disney+. 

8. Final Destination: Bloodlines

Sweetheart is a Tamil-language romantic comedy film released on 14 March 2025. It stars Rio Raj and Gopika Ramesh in the lead roles, and is a South Indian film. The story revolves around a young couple whose lives are suddenly rocked by a pre-marital pregnancy, which throws their love story, family expectations and social bonds into a new twist.

Amidst love, responsibility and unresolved secrets, the film unravels the layers of relationships where emotions turn from small mistakes into big challenges.
