About Marvels’s Blade Movie

The Blade film is one of a few previously non-Disney brands that will make their MCU debuts in the upcoming years, along with Deadpool and Wolverine in 2024 and Marvel's Fantastic Four in 2025. Blade, which was once scheduled for release in 2023, is currently in pre-production and has experienced multiple delays.

While new information about Blade is slowly being revealed, the first promotional materials for the upcoming MCU movie, including a logo and casting information, have appeared. What we currently know about the MCU Blade film is as follows.

Blade Movie Release Date

Originally scheduled for release in 2023, the MCU Blade resurrection was then pushed until 2024 and then 2025. In June 2023, Disney announced that many Phase 5 and Phase 6 Marvel projects were delayed, including Blade.

The Blade movie's current release date is November 7, 2025. It is hoped that this release date will be the last one for the film because it was announced shortly after the SAG-AFTRA strikes ended.

Cast Of MCU’s Blade Movie

In the upcoming MCU Blade movie, Mahershala Ali will play the major role of Blade, whose real name is Eric Brooks. The concept was approved when Ali personally approached Marvel Studios to express his enthusiasm in the character. The movie will also feature a talented supporting cast, including Mia Goth, Delroy Lindo, and Aaron Pierre in undisclosed roles. There’s a chance that characters from Werewolf By Night, like Elsa Bloodstone, Man-Thing, or Jack Russell, could appear, linking Blade to Marvel’s darker supernatural world. While fans hoped for Kit Harington's return as Dane Whitman, he confirmed he won’t be part of the film.

Blade Movie Story

The plot of the MCU Blade reboot has not yet been revealed. The majority of the movie will undoubtedly focus on Eric as a skilled and experienced hunter, but it will also likely cover some of Blade's past and his development into a vampire hunter. This would allow the movie to explain Blade's location within the timeframe of the MCU.

The actual plot of Blade will likely depend on the several supernatural foes Marvel selects for Blade to face in his first film.

With a fresh cast, darker tone, and Mahershala Ali in the lead, Blade is shaping up to be one of the most exciting MCU entries yet. November 7, 2025—mark the date!
