He debuted in films with Paathshaala and has subsequently appeared in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, and others.

Sanjay Dutt and Mouni Roy will be featured together in the upcoming horror action comedy named, The Bhootnii. The Bhootni  was scheduled to be released on Apr 18. According to the makers, The Bhootni is using top-notch VFX, and the producers are committed to delivering a high-quality cinematic experience to the audience. Due to this reason, the film’s release has been postponed.

Bhootnii delves into the horror-comedy genre while blending it with intense action sequences. The viewers are set for an experience to see Sanjay Dutt in an extraordinary role.

It is important to highlight that although the trailer's title is feminine (The Bhootnii), the actual content lacks any feminine aspects. Sanjay Dutt remains in character and maintains his macho persona even in horror-comedy. The outcome? Something unproductive.

Welcome to the realm where Mrs. discovered her Mr. Wrong. In this instance, Stree 2 encountered an unwarranted tough guy in Bhootnii. The freshly launched trailer showcases Sanjay Dutt back in his role from long ago, and frankly, it’s something no one requested.

Aspects of terror? Indeed, Bhootnii accurately depicts women such as Mouni Roy and Palak Tiwari as spirits in search of genuine affection. The film falls short in the comedy aspect, particularly regarding Dutt's character. While the Naagin punchline succeeds, the remaining humor seems to be appreciated mainly by men born in the 80s. This is not at all what we require in today's generation. This one, therefore, appears to be nothing more than a futile and desperate effort to outdo Stree 2 in horror-comedy.

Actor Sunny Singh has recently dismissed the comparisons drawn between ‘The Bhootnii’ and the famous horror-comedy franchise ‘Stree’. The comparison has arisen since the trailer for ‘Bhootnii’ was launched. The actor revealed that while the world might be alike, the narratives of the two films are entirely different.

Sunny Singh mentioned, “I recognize that comparisons will be made since they fall under the same genre."

Yet, that was the film of Raj and Shraddha (Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor), but this one is ours. Such comparisons occur more frequently in romantic comedies. We filmed our movie in 2022 when 'Stree 2' hadn't become that popular. In horror comedies, romance serves as a unifying theme, and although the setting may be similar, the narratives vary. "And that’s what sets it apart," the actor said.
