What’s the Controversy?

The problem started when Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly referred to as BeerBiceps, made an offensive joke about incest during an episode of India’s Got Latent. The episode included Ashish, comedian Samay Raina, content creator Apoorva Mukhija, and several others. The comment ignited fury, resulting in various legal grievances.

As per PTI, the Mumbai police have obtained statements from seven people, including Ashish Chanchlani. In the meantime, ANI stated that the Assam Police have sent new summons to Ashish, Ranveer, Apoorva, and comedian Jaspreet Singh after a complaint regarding the promotion of obscenity. A team of police from Assam has now journeyed to Mumbai to further the investigations.

In response to increasing criticism, Ranveer Allahbadia publicly apologized, describing his comment as a "failure of judgment." In a video message, he expressed, “I refuse to be the type of person who treats this responsibility carelessly. Family is the final thing I would ever dishonor. "I must utilize this platform more effectively."

Samay Raina also tackled the matter, disclosing that he removed every episode of India’s Got Latent from YouTube due to the criticism. "My sole aim was to bring joy and laughter to people." "I will completely assist all agencies to make sure their investigations are resolved justly," he expressed. As the legal processes progress, it is yet to be determined how this dispute will develop for the creators engaged.

Ashish Chanchlani’s withdrawal from the Captain America: Brave New World screening has left fans wondering if it's just a health issue or something more. As the controversy unfolds and legal actions continue, it remains to be seen how this storm will impact the creators involved.
