Vidaamuyarchi Movie Review:

The highly awaited film Vidaamuyarchi featuring Ajith Kumar premiered in cinemas on February 6. The movie, helmed by Magizh Thirumeni, has also been granted approval for 9 AM special screenings by the Tamil Nadu government.

The movie, taking place in Azerbaijan, features Arjun Sarja, Trisha, Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Vijay Ramya as well. Anirudh Ravichander, the composer of music for Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Darbar, has created tracks for the film. The Tamil action-drama has received a U/A certification from CBFC. Vidaamuyarchi is anticipated to have a spectacular premiere with a projected box office revenue of Rs 40 crore.

Vidaamuyarchi was originally scheduled to debut in January 2025, but was delayed because of “unavoidable circumstances”.

Ajith Kumar is poised to return to cinemas after a two-year break with Vidaamuyarchi, which is set to release this Thursday. Although certain groups of fans have expressed dissatisfaction with the absence of strong promotions, it hasn’t impacted the film's advance ticket sales.

As per Sacnilk, the movie has sold 5,00,021 tickets throughout India, generating Rs 9.23 crore in advance ticket sales. Nevertheless, this information does not include block seats. If those are taken into account, the film's pre-booking earnings amount to Rs 15.55 crore, according to the website.

 

Examining the collections by state, Vidaamuyarchi has garnered Rs 7.87 crore in advance sales from Tamil Nadu, with Kerala bringing in Rs 18.51 lakh and Karnataka reaching Rs 92.16 lakh. Nonetheless, the movie has had difficulty building momentum in the Telugu regions, with advance ticket sales of Rs 4.17 lakh in Telangana and Rs 8.54 lakh in Andhra Pradesh.

Various reports indicate that the movie is anticipated to earn Rs 32-35 crore on its first day. According to Koimoi, Vidaamuyarchi has been set up with an estimated budget exceeding Rs 200 crore, with Ajith Kumar's fee alone projected to be between Rs 110-120 crore.
