Gurucharan Singh returns to Mumbai first time after he went missing

Gurucharan Singh, known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), made a notable return to Mumbai on Saturday for the first time since his mysterious disappearance earlier this year. The actor was spotted at the Mumbai airport, dressed in a floral shirt and black pants, carrying a backpack and accompanied by his pet.

Gurucharan on Taarak Mehta Payment Dues

Upon his arrival, Gurucharan was approached by a paparazzo who inquired about the status of his payment dues from the TMKOC production team. In a video shared on Instagram, the actor responded, “Haan ji, sabka kar diye almost. Almost. Kuch ka mujhe nahi pata hai, woh mujhe puchna padega,” which translates to, “Yes, they have cleared almost everyone’s payment. I don't know about some, that I'll have to ask.”

Further questioned about whether he had been receiving calls regarding his return to the show, Gurucharan revealed that his phones had been switched off. He added that he would start communicating once he turned them on. When asked if he would be back on the show, he replied, “God knows. Rab jane. Mujhe kuch nahi pata hain. Jayse hi pata chalega, aapko bataunga,” meaning, “God knows, I don’t know anything. As soon as I get to know, I will tell you guys.”

Gurucharan's Disappearance

Earlier this year, Gurucharan went missing in Delhi on April 22. His disappearance was a cause of concern, and he returned to his home nearly a month later. Rohit Meena, DCP South West Delhi, provided an update, stating that the actor was dealing with personal and professional issues, which prompted him to embark on a “spiritual journey.”

The actor explained his absence to news agency ANI, saying, "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh aka Roshan Singh Sodhi had been missing since April 22. Yesterday, Gurucharan Singh came back home. It was revealed that he was facing trouble in his personal and professional life and therefore had gone on a spiritual journey. He later realized that he should return home. We recorded his judicial statement yesterday."

Following his return to his residence in Delhi, the actor was questioned by the Delhi Police, and his statement was recorded before a local court. Gurucharan deposed that he left home for a spiritual journey due to the issues he was facing, as confirmed by the police. In April, his father had filed a complaint with the Delhi Police, detailing Gurucharan’s sudden disappearance since he had been expected to return to Mumbai but never arrived.

Life After TMKOC

Gurucharan Singh found fame essaying the role of Roshan Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. However, he quit the popular show a few years ago. His recent return to the public eye and the ongoing discussions about his future projects, including potential appearances in TMKOC, have sparked significant interest among fans and media alike.
