Nishant Ujjwal Wins Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Film Director

Renowned Bhojpuri film producer and distributor Nishant Ujjwal has received the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award for Best Bhojpuri Film Director for his blockbuster Bhojpuri film 'Mai - The Pride of Bhojpuri'. This award was presented to him by Kashmir File and Mary Kom fame Darshan Kumar and Indian Picture Producers Association President Abhay Sinha during a grand ceremony organized at the Ballroom in Juhu, Mumbai. Nishant Ujjwal is very happy to receive this award. “I thank Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation for considering me worthy of this award,” he said. “This award has increased my responsibility even more.”

At the same award ceremony, popular director Rajneesh Mishra received the Best Director award for Nishant Ujjwal's film 'My – The Pride of Bhojpuri'. While Smriti Sinha won the Best Actress award for the film Bewafa Sanam and Pawan Singh won the Best Actor award for the same film. Apart from this, Anil Sharma received the Best Director award for Gadar 2 in Hindi. This award was given to Manish Padwa for Villain, Simrat Kaur for New Face, and Karan Mehra, Chahat Pandey, Ronit Rai, Deepak Tijori, Poonam Dhillon, Rajpal Yadav, Prateik Gandhi, Udit Narayan and Ali Goni for Television. Let us tell you that many legends like King Khan i.e. Shah Rukh Khan and Bhushan Kumar have already received this award.

Nishant Ujjwal is known to have produced many excellent Bhojpuri films in his career, many of which have received praise at the national and international levels. Nishant Ujwal receiving this award brought a wave of happiness among his fans and the film industry. This award is not only a major achievement in his career but also honors his contribution to the development of Bhojpuri cinema.

Let us tell you that Nishant Ujjwal comes from Balwa Chowk under Motihari district of Bihar. Nishant Ujwal's father Smriti Shesh Vijay Kumar Sinha was also a film distributor and his grandfather Rudradev Narayan Shyam of Smriti was a lawyer in the Motihari court. Nishant Ujwal started his career in public relations. After that, he entered the field of film distribution and now he has made his mark as an excellent film producer. Apart from the Bhojpuri film My The Pride, he has made successful and blockbuster films like Daag Ego Laanchhan, Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna 3, Vivah 2, Vivah 3 and Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai.
