Storyline Of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra Film

The Lokah Chapter 1 trailer begins with a dark night where Chandra, an ordinary looking young woman working on dark nights, is actually no ordinary one—she is the heir to ancient secrets and supernatural powers. His presence in the city is a mystery—no one knows what forces lie dormant within him. At the same time, a dangerous human organ trafficking mafia is tightening its grip on the city, and police officer Nachiyappa Gowda is trying to break this net.

But the real suspense begins when Chandra encounters a dark force that is linked not just to criminals but also to ancient folklore. Slowly her past is revealed—she is not just a girl, but part of a prophecy Who is born to stop evil.

The mystery deepens with every step he takes, and his superhero form shines even more in every fight. The question ultimately is—will Chandra be able to embrace her powers and save the world from darkness, or will her hidden past become her greatest enemy?

The biggest suspense twist of the film comes when it is revealed that Chandra is no ordinary girl because she is a Yakshini, a being from age-old folklore. Her powers are awakened in sunlight and this is what makes her different from humans. The real suspense of the story unfolds when Chandra reveals her true form in the midst of a battle between the human organ smuggling mafia and the police.

In the climax of this film, she accepts the secret hidden within her and uses her powers to destroy the evil. The surprise cameo of Dulquer Salmaan and Mammootty at the end of the film gives a glimpse of the next chapters.

Tickets Booking And Box Office Collection On Day 1  

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra sold nearly 31,000 pre-booking tickets on BookMyShow on its first day — less than some of Malayalam cinema's biggest hits, but still a reflection of the audience's eagerness. The film garnered audiences' attention from morning till night in the theatres - the initial occupancy was around 24.95 Percent, which rose to 69.75 Percent by evening, with an overwhelming response especially in metro cities like Kochi and Kozhikode.

Now coming to the box-office collections: The net collection on day one in India is approximately Rs 2.60 crore, as reported by sources like trade tracker Sacnilk and Filmibeat. Though Lokah got off to a strong start kicking off the Onam season, it was surpassed by Mohanlal's Hridayapoorvam which grossed approximately Rs 3.25 crore on its first day.

For the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema, a female artist has made her big screen debut as a superheroine and that name is Kalyani Priyadarshan. In Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra, she has played the role of a mysterious girl, who gradually recognizes her powers and comes forward to protect the world.

Till now, the focus of superhero stories in the Malayalam industry has mostly been on male characters But Kalyani has broken this notion and has introduced the audience to a new, strong and inspiring female character. Kalyani Priyadarshan, who has won the hearts of the audience with her performance in films like Hello, Hridayam and Bro Daddy.
