The news was revealed at a recent press conference by the film's creators, although the streaming service has not yet released a formal comment.

Tourist Family, featuring M Sasikumar and Simran, premiered in cinemas on May 1, 2025, and gradually turned into an unexpected success. Helmed by Abishan Jeevinth, the heartfelt family drama premiered with a modest collection of Rs 2 crore on its opening day. However, favorable word of mouth assisted the movie in gaining traction, and by the 10th day, it had earned Rs 5.25 crore. This raised its overall Indian box office revenue to Rs 33.15 crore, with Rs 28.5 crore coming exclusively from Tamil Nadu.
