Speaking about not missing out on the role until after the audition, Joe said, "In the moment, you're either broken or beaten. But you realize this guy was great." Joe also admitted that since the director was Marc Webb, who was a music video director, the singer thought it would be to his advantage. "But I remember it was such a big thing at the time, I was reconnecting. And the director was working as a music video director, so I was like, 'I'm here.'"
"But you know what? I love the audition process and putting yourself out there and having to prove yourself," the Grammy nominee said. Asked if the singer would wear a Spider-Man suit, Joe quietly said: " No, but I'm sure." I had a suit that I would try on "once a day."
Joe also admitted that although music became his first calling, he had no choice but to stop touring for the past few years due to the pandemic. This period also gave her a lot of time to improve his acting skills. The singer credited his wife and Game of Thrones actress Sophie Tu
