Drug campaigns help kids to know about the effects of drugs and raise awareness in their mind about all the disastrous effects of drugs.
- Social media awareness – government and many aware & educated people of the country has started a new wave of a hashtag that includes a quote which says “SayNoToDrugs” to reduce the number of drug addicts in india. Since the main focus of drug abuse is on the youth and it is social media that youth are most connected with today, it is a big step to diffuse the awareness through social media so that it doesn’t miss the chance to make an impression in every youth’s mind.
- NGOs – since every street child has aloof parents and nobody to take care of, after a certain age they get inclined to cheap and fatal drugs that make permanent damages to their body and mind. So the nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) have taken a bold step to wipe out the drug abuse among the street people. NGO’s are right on the streets with their operations to educate the street children as well as the orphan kids, provide them with necessary meds, food and water, give them the needed security and all kinds of aid so that they no more get immersed in the damaging world of drugs and death.

The addiction phase is not as painful as the stage when a person wants to get rid of it. When someone tries to get rid of addiction the first thing to put a jerk to his body is – withdrawal syndrome. Detox brings some hormonal balance in the body which the physical structure was not habituated with, lately. Drugs in India have always been a major issue amongst the youth.
