His next film will be with Shoojit Sircar and the title of the film has been revealed as ‘October’.

Varun Dhawan was eager to work with Shoojit Sircar as he is great fan of his cinema and post watching ‘Vicky Donor’ and ‘Piku’ he for the longest time wanted to be part of his next venture and finally his dream is coming true. The film ‘October’ will be produced by Rising Sun Films’ Production and will go on floors this September. It will be written by Juhi Chaturvedi who has written previous films for Shoojit and will be directed by Shoojit, himself. Shoojit’s films have always entertained the viewers with simple yet powerful stories and have remained with them forever. Film ‘October’ will be a love story which will be shot in Delhi.

Varun cannot keep control of your excitement of being a part of Shoojit’s film and he revealed to a leading daily, “I have been ardent fan of Shoojit da’s work and have always wanted to work with him. October is a beautiful story in which I play a character with many layers. It’s a difficult character to play. I hope people get to see a new side of me with this film”

The film is being touted as an unusual love story and out of the box kind of story. Shpojit and Juhi got the idea of the film from a small newspaper clipping much before they started the work on ‘Piku’. The film is inspired from true events. As a part of the film, Varun will go off social media while he will be shooting for the film as Shoojit has asked him to do that. Post his wrap up from ‘Judwaa 2’ Varun would start attending several acting workshops for the film.

The makers of the film are looking for a March/April 2018 release.
