Through her films and roles, Kangana has made her image in such way that her fans expect something new each time she appears on the silver screen. From ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ to ‘Queen’ Kangana has proved her mettle that she can carry the film on her delicate shoulders. After her last film ‘Rangoon’ bombed at the box office, her fans could not wait for her next film. When the teaser of her upcoming film ‘Simran’ was launched, her fans were quite elated to see that as for them Kangana was back and finally the first poster of the film has been revealed from the film ‘Simran’ and one cannot take the eyes off from the million dollar smile Kangana is flashing in the it.
Kangana and Controversies go hand in hand and same happened with this film as well when the teaser of the film was released. Apurva Asrani who has previously written critically acclaimed films like ‘Aligarh’ and ‘Shahid’ accused the actress of stealing the credit of the writer from him. The whole controversy started because the director of the film Hansal Mehta decided to give Kangana the credit of being the co-writer and her name has been mentioned in the credits above the original writer which is Apurva himself.
However, the director of the film supported the actress completely and made his point that Kangana had collaborated on story and dialogues for the film. Finally the whole controversy ended without any clarification from Kangana’s end and now the release date of the film is nearing. The makers of the film and the actress are in full mode to start promoting the film. To give it a start, a poster has been released of the movie in which Kangana is slaying like a true diva. Her smile will attract every eyeball towards her.
‘Simran’ is the story of an NRI woman in the US who robbed banks to pay off her debts, only to be finally caught by the officials. Kanagana plays the role of a 30 year old divorced woman in the film and has been paired opposite Sohum Shah.
Directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by T-Series, Simran is all set to release on September 15, 2017.
