After the debacle of ‘Tubelight’ Salman Khan has become choosy in picking up his next films. There were reports that Salman was supposed to be a part of Remo D'Souza's dance-drama ‘Dancing Dad’ but now the latest news has come that Salman has become skeptical to be a part of the film and has therefore put the film on back hold. The film was supposed to bring the superheat jodi of Salman and Jacqueline back to the big screens but it seems the fans will have to wait to see their magic again on screen.
In the film Salman had to play the role of a widower who has a daughter. His character had to participate in a dance competition for the happiness of his daughter. However, Salman was not happy with the idea of playing a dad who learns dancing to please his daughter. He felt that the role doesn't suit his age. He has already tried once to play a character much younger than his age in ‘Tubelight’ and he was not willing to play the same instantly with another film.
Many people tried to convince ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor about the role but he was skeptical, and felt that the role was more suitable for actors like Varun Dhawan or any other younger actors.
While Salman has put Remo’s ‘Dancing Dad’ on back burner, he has agreed to be a part of third installment of action thriller film ‘Race’. The first two installments directed by Abbas Mustan were super hit at the box office. However, there is a slight change in the team for ‘Race 3’ as Abbas Mustan would not be directing the third installment this time and Remo Dsouza has been roped in to direct the action-thriller, ‘Race 3’. Producer of the film Ramesh Taurani has signed him for the third part.
So, the duo of Remo D’Souza and Salman Khan would be collaborating for ‘RACE 3’ as Salman had agreed to do the movie only if it is directed by Remo D’souza. Salman is currently busy shooting for ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ opposite Katrina Kaif which is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
So is Remo D’Souza’s ‘Dancing Dad’ completely shelved? Let us hope some other actor agrees to be a part of the film soon.
