Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ remade in Hollywood

Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ remade in Hollywood

We have often heard our Bollywood films being inspired or officially adapted or even copied from various super hit Hollywood flicks. But a Bollywood film being remade into a Hollywood film is surely a surprise for all. Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam starrer film ‘Kaabil’ which was released in January 2017 is all set to be remade in Hollywood. Sanjay Gupta who is the director of the film ‘Kaabil’ has often been tagged for copying Hollywood and Korean productions. His last film, ‘Jazbaa', was an official remake of the Korean film ‘Seven Days’. All his films are mostly copied and so this is truly ironic that his film rights have been bought by an International production house.

Reports suggest that the producer of the film Rakesh Roshan has even approached by 20th Century Fox for purchasing the remake rights of the film. Before Hrithik went to New York, Tomas Jegeus, President of Fox International Productions approached Hrithik for the same. This came as pleasant surprise to the whole team as the International team thinks that ‘Kaabil’ is a pure entertainer and has all the ingredients for a great Hollywood film. Once back, Hrithik shall talk about this to his father and shall take forward the talks.

Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ and Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Raees’ both the films got released at the same time at the box office and though ‘Raees’ won the box office number race, yet ‘Kaabil’ has been declared as the best film of 2017 till now via an online poll. Kaabil's lifetime earning was over Rs 100 crore which was not heartily accepted by the producer Rakesh Roshan as he was not at all happy with the clash of the movie with ‘Raees’.

‘Kaabil’ is a story of a visually challenged man who avenges the rape of his wife. It’s hard hitting plot and storyline has made an impact on the International Producers as well.

On the work front, Hrithik Roshan who is currently on a vacation with his two sons and ex wife Suzanne has been confirmed to portray the character of Lord Shiva in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next Adaptation of 'Immortals of Meluha’. The lucky fans might get to see Hrithik playing a part in the Hollywood movie as well. We shall keep you posted on that note!
