This IPL auctions, the teams have taken a huge plunge into revamping their teams. So this year the fans can expect a rejuvenated experience for IPL 2019.

An Analysis of Royal Challengers Squad 2019

Openers

Key Openers: Henrich Klaaasen, Parthiv Patel and Shimron Hetmyer

Backups: Himmat Singh and Devdutt Pedikkal

It was the Openers positions that needed to be revamped as the Royal Challengers had only Parthiv Patel on the opener end. Now that they have added Henrich Klaasen and Shimron Hetmyer the opening woes are solved.

Parthiv will supposedly be the key opener and keeper initially, hence Shemron Hetmyer must open the innings by his side. It will be a duo that will be interesting to watch on the ground.

Their backups would be Himmat Singh and Devdutt Pedikkal in case a situation arises. As per my observations, Parthiv Patel is a weak keeper and RCB must have searched for another good Indian wicket keeper and opener, as Henrich and Shimron shall not be a wise decision.

Middle Order

Key Middle-Order Players: AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli, Marcus Stoinis and Shivam Dube

Backups: Devdutt Pedikkal, Gurkeerat Singh and Himmat Singh

RCB has the power house of Indian cricket team i.e. Virat Kohli and also the explosive batsmen AB de Villiers in the team. The need of the hour was a good number 5 player, and this was solved by buying Shivam Dube, the hard hitting batsman.

Shivam Dube will be playing the IPL first time with RCB but he shall be a potential player for the team. The expected spot for him and Marcus Stoinis will be the fifth and sixth position in the batting line-up.

The backup shall be Devdutt Pedikkal, Gurkeerat Singh and Himmat Singh. The team has a strong middle order.

All Rounders

Key Batting All-rounders:  Colin de Grandhomme, Marcus Stoinis and Moeen Ali

Key Bowling All-rounders: Washington Sundar

Backups: Akshdeep Nath, Pawan Negi, Gurkeerat Singh, Milind Kumar, Prayas Barman and Shivam Dube

There are no gaps in this area and RCB rules the game in this particular area

They have two fine batting all-rounders- Marcus Stoinis and Colin de Grandhomme. A potential bowling all-rounder- Washington Sundar.

These three should be given the chance to be on the ground initially as they shall play well considering their potential and firepower.

Spinners

Key Spinners: Washington Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal

Backups:  Pawan Negi and Moeen Ali

Yuzvendra Chahal shall lead the pack when it comes to spin bowling. He shall be supported by the IPL sensation, Washington Sundar.

Pawan Negi, will also be on the forefront to prove his potential as a spinner.

Moeen Ali is a traditional spinner, a little different from the others in his tactics and game.

Pacers

Key Pacers:  Mohammad Sirah, Umesh Yadav and Nathan Coulter Nile

Backups:  Kulwant Khejroliya, Navdeep Saini and Tim Southee

Once again Umesh Yadav will be leading the pace bowling department. He will be expected to hold his form well like in the last year.

For his support Mohammad Sirah, Tim Southee and Nathan Coulter Nile will be present.

Kulwant and Navdeep shall be a supportive backup for Virat and RCB as a whole.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has a really promising squad for this season, covering their bases in every department. 2019 will be a year where RCB will give in their best men to take over their opponents. We wish them luck!
