One of Bollywood’s most versatile actors, Priyanka Chopra was allegedly dating actor/singer Hollywood star, Nick Jonas. The gossips and rumors finally ended when the duo got engaged in a low key Roka ceremony on Saturday. The couple was dressed beautifully for the occasion with Priyanka looking like an angel in her yellow suit while surprisingly Nick was also dressed in white traditional Indian Kurta Pyjama. The ceremony took place in a typical Punjabi way with only family and close friends. As per the sources, a traditional engagement party will also take place later in the evening.

The couple’s love can be seen by the picture doing rounds on the internet where Nick is whispering something in Priyanka’s ears which makes her blush and she gives her million dollar smile. The bride-to-be was seen to clutch Nick’s kurta tightly and the whole episode seemed nothing less than that of a fairytale.

HOW DID IT ALL BEGIN?

The couple first time met at the Met Gala in the year 2017. Some say their mutual love for music brought them together while others say it was their close friends who acted as matchmakers in bringing the couple close to each other. Priyanka is supposedly eleven years elder to Nick and this can be one of the reasons why the couple never confirmed their relationship to the outside world. The couple never denied the speculations but simply chose to keep their private life to themselves and we certainly for one respect them for this. But it is not easy to hide love as the gossips and rumors about the couple set ablaze just like their romance and was soon a hot topic. The actress was seen hanging out with Nick pretty often and also attended his concert in Singapore. Apart from this, she also shared a picture of Nick and her brother Siddharth calmly gazing sea in Goa. The caption for this image was “My favorite men”. Our Quantico star was also Nick’s date for his cousin’s wedding and met the entire Jonas family. While on his trip to India Nick also met with Priyanka’s mother which just added more proof to the already concrete rumors.

The 36-year-old actress is also known for her elegant replies when it comes to answering the media and totally won everyone over when she replied about the topic, “My entire life, especially my personal life, everything about me is not for public consumption. 90 percent of it is for the public but the rest 10 percent of it is for me. I am a girl and have a right to keep it to myself.”

The biggest reveal was when Priyanka opted out of ‘Bharat’ as in the words of Ali Abbas Zafar, she left it in “the nick of time” and the reason was evidently “very special”. The crowds had waited for the couple to speak out and they did soon after this.

THE DREAM PROPOSAL

Their love story was indeed a fairytale and Nick made sure the proposal was one too! He popped the question in London and the singer chose to close down an entire Tiffany store to buy his lady love the perfect ring.
The couple was surely building their love by dining together, traveling together while everyone conjectured about them. They were practically inseparable during those times.

WLL WE WITNESS A BIG FAT PUNJABI WEDDING?

As per the reports, the couple is set to tie the knot sooner than we might expect. Priyanka wants to respect her ‘family values’ and will go for a traditional Indian wedding which might be as soon as in October 2018.
